This event is highly focused on battling.
Throughout October, you will encounter vicious rabid animals and creepy entities in Explore! Some of them may want to fight; others will test your king's spirit, and may give you great rewards in return!

The currencies for this month are the Blood Beetle, the Nepheline Feathers, and the Demonic Scales.

Blood Beetles can be found in Explore, and can be received from winning battles with spooky NPCs! Demonic Scales and Nepheline Feathers can be found from storyline explore encounters.

Blood Beetles are used in the Blood Beetle Shack, and in the Manticore shop. Demonic Scales are used in the Heaven Shop, and Nepheline Feathers are used in the Hell Shop.

All biomes will have the Explore Encounters!
Biome, karma, and level do not matter for events.

During October, users are working to unlock four tiers of one area.
The first three tiers are for the Blood Beetle Shack; the final tier is for a special crafting altar. The tiers are unlocked through defeating rabid NPCs.

While fighting rabid animals, your lion has a chance to contract rabies!
If your king becomes rabid, his energy will not raise above 80%, he cannot eat, and he may infect other kings through PvP. If this does happen, you will receive a notice about it. On the upside, he gains more strength during battles!

You'll know if your king is rabid, as a red message will appear at the top of your page.
"You feel insanity, fever and rage filling your body! You have contracted RABIES! You might infect other players! Better get a Devil's Claw in the shop and heal yourself fast before you hurt your own pride!"

This text is just flavour text. Your king WILL NOT hurt any members of his pride; they also cannot contract rabies from him. Your king is the only lion that can have rabies.
You are able to dismiss this message per device.

If you would prefer to have a healthy king, you can cure him with a Devil's Claw, which has four uses and costs 2 Blood Beetles in the Shack. This is the only way to cure your king of rabies.

A cold breeze bristles through your fur and you shiver, suddenly aware that your breath is now pooling out as white smoke in front of you. With a crack of something that sounded like lightening, you look up, only to see something terrifying flying right at you!

From the 25th to the 31st, players are able to Trick or Treat on other online players! To do this, first you need to carve your own pumpkin (just to let everyone know you're up for ToT, of course!) Once you have, you can visit other players every 15 minutes - if they're online and have a pumpkin of their own - and you'll receive various prizes!

For Tricking, you'll receive -1 Karma, and for Treating you'll receive +1 Karma. Both options give a random amount of Blood Beetles and a chance for +1 Scarab Beetle (November Event currency) or +1 Stink Beetle (December Event currency)!
