You come back to the same spot where you two met. There's a fallen tree above a shallow pit of dirt. You sit down to wait, but a quiet yelp can be heard from underneath your buttocks. Oh... Well, it appears you've sat down on a hyena. Oops. How did you not notice him? He looks very dirty - maybe you're not going blind just yet.

"Okay, that's a bit rude. I was just resting. I'm up now, I'm up," he yawns, and sits next to you in the shade. "I have not found the issue yet, but every trip that I make helps me narrow down the patterns. Maybe you could help me out for just a few more days?"

"No, no, of course not! Things just take time! Every day, you notice vultures flying in specific directions, specific smells, sounds... I am a lone hyena, you know. I'm good at this. Trust me." Saying that, he gives you a desperate smile. He should work on it, because it looks like he just smelled something bad.
