Not only humans believe that ancestors are linked spiritually to the living. Some lions believe they can talk to the spirits of those who passed, becoming shamans. You can gain your Piety for the Ancestors by doing deeds for the lion shamans, and in return you will be granted with spiritual rewards!
Your Piety might unlock something special, so respect the spirits and they will provide.
Alongside, you can gather a lot of herbs in Explore you don't need for quests.
Event Information
This event is highly focused on exploring.
The explore encounters exclusive to this month can be found in all biomes.
Your lion's karma and level, as well as the biome you explore in, do not matter for this event.
In November, the community is working to unlock three tiers of two separate bars.
The more Piety is gained through completing Shaman Quests, the faster the Shaman Pit and Shaman Shop will be unlocked.
The first tiers of both areas, referred to as "Tier Zero", are already unlocked.
This month's currency is Scarab Beetles.
Scarab Beetles can be gained in Explore and winning battles against certain NPCs.
The November event launches on November 1st at 12am Lioden time and will end on November 30th at 11:59pm Lioden time. All unused event currency will be stored on your account until the next year.
Explore Encounters
Hover over the icons in the upper right corner to see whether an encounter is available during daytime, nighttime, wet season, or dry season. If on mobile, you can tap the icons for the same effect.
If an action's text has this colour, this indicates that the action (button) is related to a Shaman Quest, and choosing that action will complete the quest if you are currently on that quest.

Shaman Quests
You can gain your Piety for the Ancestors by doing deeds for the lion shamans, and in return you will be granted spiritual rewards. You can complete three Shaman Quests per day. Choose your Shaman below wisely. Once you have completed your quest, you should bow to your shaman. If a quest hasn't been completed by rollover, it will be reset.
The three Shamans you can take quests from are Shaman Aker, Sorcerer Sphinx, and Sangoma Tefnut.
It does not matter which Shaman you choose—they all offer between 2 to 3 Piety as a reward.
However, each Shaman has a pool of 7 quests that your quest will be randomly drawn from, including some that are unique to that Shaman. The quests you can receive range from giving herbs, giving Lion Skulls, giving Rawhide, or finding certain encounters in Explore.
If a Shaman asks for items, this means you must give them that many individual items—NOT uses of items. For example, 10 Honey Bush means 10 individual Honey Bush items, not 10 uses of Honey Bush.
You can take three Shaman Quests per day. If you find that a quest is too difficult for you to complete, you can choose to "Give Up Quest".
This will count as one of your completed quests for the day and you will not gain Piety by giving up a quest.

Shaman Shop
Welcome to my humble abode. We live a nomadic life so we will be gone by the end of the month. I can gather more goods and bring them here next year!
The Shaman Shop is where you go to spend your Scarab Beetles.
This shop is opened by the combined efforts of completing quests for Piety.
Shaman Pit
You notice an area prepared by the shamans. It's full of lion bones and decorations. You feel a weird presence here, but nothing happens so far.
Earning Piety unlocks perk tiers within the "Shaman Pit" portion of the November event.
Tier One of the Piety bar unlocks "Strength Boost" perk.
Tier Two of the Piety bar unlocks the "Cub Stat Boost" perk.
Tier Three of the Piety bar unlocks the "Whisper Rewards".
Strength Boost
"Herbs are smoking among the Ancestral Remains."
Strength Boost is the first tier of the Shaman Pit bar. Once it is unlocked, you are able to press a button to Inhale every 3 hours to gain a temporary Strength Boost in battle.
"You inhale the smoke - it smells like spicy herbs. You feel stronger. (You received a STR battling boost for 15 minutes!)"
You can Inhale every 180 minutes (3 hours). Inhaling the herb smoke gives your pride leader a temporary Strength Boost against NPCs in Explore.
Tier one also unlocks fossil crafting via Monkey Business. Scroll down to the Month-Specifics section to see the fossil recipes.
Cub Stat Boost
"Herbs are smoking among the Ancestral Remains. There's also a pool of oddly coloured water."
Cub Stat Boost is the second tier of the Shaman Pit bar. Once it is unlocked, you are able to press a button to Drink Water once per day to gain a 5% Stat Boost for the cubs produced in your next immediate breeding.
"You sip the water… It tastes awful. Suddenly, you start to feel.. Potent, and your testicles start itching! (You gained a 5% stat boost for cubs in your next breeding!)"
You can Drink Water once per day. Drinking water gives your pride leader a 5% Stat Boost towards the cubs produced in their next immediate breeding.
Tier two also unlocks gem crafting via Monkey Business. Scroll down to the Month-Specifics section to see the gem recipes.
Whisper Rewards
"Herbs are smoking among the Ancestral Remains. There's also a pool of oddly coloured water. You can hear weird whispering."
Whisper Rewards are the third tier of the Shaman Pit bar. Once it is unlocked, you are able to press a button to Whisper once per day to gain a random reward from the pool displayed below. The reward will be bestowed upon you by a random lion stored within your Pride Dynasty. If you do not have any lions stored within your Pride Dynasty, the reward is bestowed upon you by "an Ancestor".
You can only get one of the listed rewards each rollover—that is either an Experience Boost, an Impression Boost, a Stat Boost, or an applicator. The rewards are randomised.
"You close your eyes and remember the shaman's guidance. You start whispering, and the whispers echo back in your mind, slowly turning into newly formed words from the ancestors. You receive [NAME]'s blessing; after which the spirits fade away."
Rewards Pool
Experience Boost | +(LVL x 50) Experience |
---|---|
Impression Boost | +60% Impression |
Stat Boost | +10 to 20 Random Stats |
