Despite dry seasons, the storms have been relentless and kept on bringing heavy fronts and rainy days all over Lioden lands. Rainfall won't stop, it is even worsening now, and tribal shamans decided to help out nature and conjure animal spirits to stop the storms before they produce massive floods!
Event Information
This event is highly focused on exploring and rituals.
This month, there is no dry season - it's eternally wet and rainy! Gems usually found in explore are absent this month, as they’ve been washed away from the floods!
Every rollover, there is a small chance that one carcass will be washed away from your hoard. Burying, or putting food on branches or in trades will protect them, however.
If you lose a carcass because of the flood, you will receive this message at rollover.
This month, we're working to unlock one tier in one area!
The more we participate in rituals and donate goats, the faster we unlock the Mysterious Shrine for crafting.
The Floodpit has no tiers. Instead, new items are released intermittently by the admins.
The currency for this month is the Dive Beetles.
They can be found in explore, from Flash Floods, and from participating in rituals.

Sangoma
The shaman speaks to you in animal spirit trance. She needs rawhides of your prey to prepare djembe drums for rituals that will help scattering storms away, and offers you five Dive Beetles as reward* if the ritual is successful. If you bring goats for sacrifice, the ritual might slow down the floods!
* You will only be rewarded if you have donated goats towards the sangoma.
The Sangoma are preparing the ritual.
At the start of every hour, the Sangoma shamans will invite you to join a ritual - you need to give them a rawhide for drums! You can acquire one from any large carcass – warthog size and larger - and upon using it, you will notice an option to turn it into rawhide.
Rawhide uses the whole carcass, and doesn’t count uses, so it’s best to make sure the carcass you’re using has only one use.
To participate in the ritual, you must offer the Sangoma shamans 1 rawhide. To try and prevent the floods from coming, you must donate 2 goat carcasses once you’ve participated. The more goat carcasses are donated, the more chance the flood will be stopped!
The ritual is starting, the Sangoma are conjuring lion ancestor spirits to roar the floods away.
Once the Shamans have enough goats and rawhides they will begin the ritual. Whether it is successful or not depends on how many goats they received.

Flash Floods
Flash Floods occur once the Rain Meter is filled up, and last 30 minutes. There is a new Flash Flood every 2 and a half hours, as the Rain Meter fills by 25% every 30 minutes, and once it reaches 100%, a 30 minute Flash Flood occurs. A link will appear at the top of your page, and on the event page, and you will get 10 turns of finding either items or Dive Beetles! The shop closes while there's too much water around. It opens again once the bar is empty.
Each year, a new flash flood image is added, and they will appear at random on each click.
Flash Flood Rewards
Every time you click on an image during a Flash Flood, you will receive either an item or 1 to 3 Dive Beetles. There are a variety of items that can be found while clicking around in Flash Floods.
Broken Drone | Damp Log | Drowned Bike | Drowned Hyena | Drowned Wheel |

Muddy Bone | Rock | UAV - Search and Rescue | ||
Massive Floods
Massive Floods occur when lots of Flash Floods have occurred, and the rituals have failed to slow it down. The Flood Meter completely fills up, and Explore becomes very flooded, along with displaying different encounters. Be careful, as food is much harder to find in Explore while it's flooding - carcasses that your king can find along the way will fill much less hunger than they normally do, due to the food being damp and unable to be salvaged.
During a Massive Flood, your lions will have Rising Waters automatically equipped to them, to simulate drowning/flooding! Massive Floods will also shuffle the items that display in the Flood Pit.
Oya
"Welcome brave lion! With the smoke of this incense, we should be able to communicate. I am Sangoma Oya and this is my goat, Azazel. He used to be a scapegoat for the floods, but he became my pet. Do not eat, no. Bad lion!"
Azazel sticks his tongue out and shakes its goaty head, making an odd noise. Man, goats are weird.
"I know you’re doing your best with helping my Sangoma sisters repel the rain, but there’s so much waiting in between the rituals! Maybe you’d have time to collect some things for me? I will reward you every day!"
Sounds good
“We need different things every day depending on the rituals. Please let me know how much can you help today!”

Flood Pit
Why hello there…
Having fun in the water, are we?
My friends and I are finding some quite interesting items in the floods, and we'd be happy to trade them to you in exchange for some of those tasty Dive Beetles you've got there..
We're always finding new things, so keep checking back with us. We might have something new! You'll always find us here if it's flooded, but we go into hiding when it's dry.
The Flood Pit operates differently to other Event shops. It’s open the whole event, and with each flood, the items available rotate, showing 5 each time. Items here cost Dive Beetles.
There are no "tiers" in this shop. As the bar is unlocked, more items will appear in the shop pool to be rotated each flood.
